A few of our favourite things

When Covid bites, we let these wonderful vendors in - to share with us their pearls of wisdom for 2021 celebrations.

Here at Feast HQ, we believe in the power of love – the power that despite the changing landscape and unending flip-flops we have seen to guest numbers and closures, that 2021 will be the start of something wonderful. Smaller, yes. But perfectly formed. We’re thinking that this new alignment (and settling on 50 guests) will mean focusing a bit more, on less. That tasting menu, the beautiful vintage wine, those extra special flowers and table settings. All the things that will fill your day with magic.

Colour is one of the most exquisite ways to brighten up the tables and imbue a sense of pure joy into the room. And our brides, grooms and guests of honour are starting to look at the typical bridal dresses as something that will bring longer lasting happiness. We are huge fans of Helen Cody’s exquisite creations that are timeless pieces and not just for The Big day.

Travel might be up in the air, but theming your weddings around the original foreign destination can be a wonderful way of finding a stunning middle ground. Maybe the beach party in Thailand is out… but why not bring some of that exotic glamour closer to home? We asked some of our colleagues what their view for 2021 is and here’s what Aisling in Danu Collective had to say:

“Intimate gatherings lend themselves to exploring alternative venues and outdoor backdrops off the beaten track, while a smaller guest list provides an opportunity to elevate the food and drink experience with premium wines and bubbly. We’re seeing a significant increase in the demand for styling and décor this year, as couples look to invest in the overall aesthetic of their celebration, to create an ambience and sensory journey that not only reflects their own unique story but also impacts the way they want their guests to feel” – DANU Collective

Re-create that restaurant experience in the luxury of our stunning venues:

When numbers go down, you can look at a much more intricate style of menu. At Feast, we have had some wonderful collaborations with chefs like Barry Fitzgerald of Bastible and Ciaran Sweeney (formerly of Forest & Marcy) so this could be an option that combines restaurant experience with exclusive and private spaces.

It’s all about quality over quantity this year. With all these experts to help guide us through this year, we are sure to find the perfect solution, for your perfect day.
